Since 2023, over 400 ethnically diverse women have successfully run their very first ever half or full marathon thanks to the Outrunners Women’s Academies!
Every year, we provide 50-100 women with regular training sessions, group long runs, strength workouts, and high quality kit - all completely free - to get them race ready.
But most importantly, we provide the space for them to build their own community and realise that they can achieve amazing things.

women’s ACADEMY
In 2026 we launched our first ever Youth Academy, a unique training program designed for a dedicated group of 16-21 year olds to train for their very first half or full marathon.
Running a half or full marathon is an amazing achievement in itself. But these young people do whilst balancing school, university, exams, part-time jobs, and even fasting during Ramadan.
In 2027 we’re going bigger and better, welcoming a massive 50 young people into our Youth Academy crew.

The Outrunners is more than a running club.
We’re a group who want to improve the lives of young people in East London through offering our skills, experience and time.
By joining us you’re becoming part of a friendly, non-judgmental and supportive community.
We’ll help you take your first steps to a 5k, find the confidence to tackle a half marathon or simply discover the joy of running with others.
No one is left behind.
We take this philosophy into the local community where you’re encouraged to get involved with the Outrunners' youth charity.
You could help run one of our sports youth clubs, volunteer at a careers event, tap into your network to create opportunities for local young people or show your support by coming to one of our fun runs.
